潭阳湖是一个人工湖，于 1976 年在灵山江上修建水坝而形成。该湖坐落在风景如画的秋月山和锦城山脚下，清澈见底的湖水是许多不同淡水鱼类的栖息地，包括胡瓜鱼、鲶鱼、黑鱼、鲤鱼和皮鱼。以潭阳湖为中心，周围有秋月山旅游区、嘎马谷青年露营地、金城山城等。山上的湖滨路穿过山中段的隧道，是热门的风景自驾公路。
