鹭得岛最初被称为中地岛，直到 20 世纪 50 年代，它是一个用于娱乐目的的沙质平原，直到 60 年代和 70 年代汉江地区经历了开发。这些沙子被用来建造一个看起来像漂浮在汉江中央的岛屿。鹭得岛在接下来的 50 年里一直被废弃，直到 2005 年首尔市政府购买了该岛。经过一系列的规划和改变，该岛于 2019 年作为休闲区向公众开放，同时保留了大部分原始形态。鹭得岛的主要景点包括现场表演室、书店、音乐休息室、花园等，是公众的文化娱乐场所。
