茂朱地田村的古城墙大多是为了划分房屋之间的界限而建的，而不是为了防止人们进入。墙壁最初使用泥土和天然石头，但后来改为用水泥固定在一起的方形石头，顶部铺有韩国屋顶瓦片。这堵墙与村庄的传统房屋和缓缓流淌的南大川融为一体。
