Đảo Seonjaedo ở Inch được cho là đã có người định cư từ thời đồ đá mới. Nó từng được gọi là Đảo Sowudo trong triều đại Goryeo và Joseon, trước khi được đặt tên là Seonjaedo vào năm 1871. Cái tên Seonjaedo có nghĩa là "hòn đảo nơi một nàng tiên thần thánh đáp xuống và nhảy múa". Khi thủy triều xuống, một con đường cát nối đảo với đất liền xuất hiện từ đại dương. Đảo Seonjaedo còn là đảo cầu nối liền quần đảo Daebudo và Yeongheungdo.
