동성로는 대구 청년문화의 중심지이다. 대구역사거리에서 900m에 달하는 중심업무지구입니다. 이 길은 1907년 옛 대구읍성 동쪽 성벽 자리에 만들어졌다. 교동 보석거리, 떡볶이골목, 핸드백골목, 야시장골목 등 테마별로 구역을 나누어 볼 수 있다. 2009년에는 전국 최초로 대중교통전용지역으로 지정됐다.
