우암사적공원은 조선 후기의 유학자 우암 송시열(1607~1689)이 학문을 명상하던 자리에 1998년 개관했다. 장판각을 비롯해 많은 건물이 재건축되었습니다. 역사적 가치 외에도 이 공원은 지역 주민들을 위한 도시 내 휴식 공간이기도 합니다.
