신산공원은 88년 서울올림픽 성화의 우리나라 도래를 기념하기 위해 조성됐으나 현재는 지역 주민들의 쉼터로 활용되고 있다. 가족 나들이 장소로 각광받고 있으며, 많은 커플들이 숲 그늘 사이로 난 길을 따라 산책을 즐긴다.
