금산공원은 제주시 애월읍 한 마을 근처에 울창한 상록수림이 있는 공원이다. 제주 서부 평지에 남아 있는 유일한 상록수림으로 키가 큰 상록수와 60종의 아열대 식물이 자생하고 있다. 산림은 천연기념물과 학술연구를 위한 천연자원으로 보존·보호되고 있습니다. 숲에서의 식물 채집과 사냥은 엄격히 금지됩니다.
