전라남도 영광군에 있는 불갑사는 우리나라 최초의 사찰이다. 한국에 불교를 전파한 최초의 인도 승려인 마라난타 스님이 백제 침류왕 때인 384년쯤 이곳에 절을 창건했다고 전해진다.
불갑사 대웅전은 보물로 지정되어 있다. 홀 문에 있는 모티프는 아름다운 디자인으로 유명합니다. 만세루, 명부전, 일광당 등의 건축물과 천연기념물로 지정된 참나무가 자생하고 있다. 이 사원은 늦여름에 피는 마술 백합으로도 유명합니다. 불갑사로 들어가는 길은 편안한 산책과 사색을 즐기기에 안성맞춤이다. |
