도갑사는 신라후기에 창건된 사찰로 오랜 역사를 갖고 있으며 다양한 국보를 보유하고 있다. 도갑사 일주문에서 약 100m 떨어진 곳에 1473년에 건립된 독특한 디자인의 해탈문이 있으며, 국보로도 지정되어 있다. 문 근처에는 보물 제1134호인 목동문수리와 도갑사 보현보살이 있다. 오층석탑과 석조여래좌상(보물)도 볼 수 있습니다. 여러 전쟁으로 인해 많은 양의 사찰이 소실되었으나, 남아 있는 돌을 보면 당시 사찰의 규모가 얼마나 컸는지 알 수 있습니다.
