옥포대첩기념공원은 임진왜란(1592~1598) 옥포해전에서 이순신 장군이 첫 승리를 거둔 것을 기념하기 위해 1996년 건립됐다. 추모탑과 옥포루각에 오르면 탁 트인 옥포만의 전경을 감상할 수 있다. 공원에는 탑과 정자 외에 이순신 장군을 모시는 사당도 있습니다.
