포항 호미곶에서 감포로 가는 길목에 위치한 구룡포항은 일제강점기인 1923년 부두와 방파제가 만들어지면서 항구의 모습을 갖게 된 곳이다. 현재 북방파제 약 600m, 남방파제 약 400m, 안벽 약 600m의 시설을 갖추고 있으며, 적재능력은 334,000톤에 이른다.
구룡포근대문화역사거리가 인근에 있어 일본의 전통 가옥을 볼 수 있습니다. 구룡포시장도 근처에 있어 현지 시장의 친근한 분위기와 맛있는 음식을 즐길 수 있습니다. 지역 특산품인 반건조 꽁치를 판매하는 곳이 많으며, 전국 최대 대게 생산지로 알려져 있어 질 좋은 반건조 꽁치와 신선한 대게를 맛볼 수 있다. |
