공주시에 위치한 공산성은 백제시대(234~678)에 축성된 산성이다. 해발 110m에 길이 2.6km가 넘는 성이다. 백제시대에는 토성을 이용하여 축성하였고, 조선시대에는 돌로 축성하였다. 성 안에는 백제, 고려, 조선시대의 건축물과 유물이 많이 남아있습니다. 서쪽 입구와 동쪽 입구에서는 금강을 배경으로 울창한 숲을 감상할 수 있다. 역사적, 문화적 의미는 물론, 금강변과 산책로가 어우러져 아름다운 풍경을 감상할 수 있어 가볼만한 곳이다.
