완산칠봉은 완산공원이라고도 불리며 전주 시내 남쪽 외곽에 위치해 있다. 익산과 군산의 발상지로 알려져 있으며, 그 명성은 전주와 함께 남부지방으로 퍼져나갔다. 역사적으로 중요한 칠성사 외에 꼭대기에는 주변 지역을 바라볼 수 있는 정자가 있다. 이 산은 동학농민혁명 때 치열한 전투가 벌어진 곳이기도 하다. 오늘날 이 산은 공원으로 조성되어 지역 주민들에게 인기 있는 휴양지 역할을 하고 있습니다.
