우이동계곡은 북한산과 도봉산 사이에 위치해 있어 지역 주민들이 즐겨 찾는 휴양지이다. 계곡 입구에는 숙박시설과 놀이터, 예식장 등 편의시설이 갖춰져 있다. 계곡에는 깨끗한 물이 흐르고 음식점이 늘어서 있다. 계곡입구 왼편에서 시작되는 산행로는 인수봉으로 가는 길에 도선사를 지나게 된다. 계곡을 통과하는 등산로는 꽤 험난하지만 능선을 따라 의암암에 이르고, 더 나아가 도봉산까지 이어진다. 이 지역의 추가 사찰로는 성불사, 용덕사, 선운사, 광명사가 있습니다.
