1950年代、金日成、李承晩、李基豊の3人の指導者は花津浦湖の周囲に別荘を建てた。韓国の初代大統領、李承晩の別荘は 1954 年に建てられましたが、1961 年までに使用されなくなりました。軍によって 1997 年 7 月まで修復されず、1999 年に完全に修復され、展示場としてオープンしました。
