方泰山国立休養林は大部分が天然林で構成されており、一部人工林も含まれています。休養林は九龍徳峰(標高1,388m)と竹峰(標高1,443m)の間の渓谷に位置しています。 2段の滝やマダンバウィ岩などの美しい景観で知られるエリアです。さまざまな木々が一年中、特に秋に素晴らしい紅葉を見せてくれます。森にはウサギ、ノロジカ、リスなどの野生動物が生息しています。
