ヒョソク文化村は作家イ・ヒョソク（ペンネーム「ガサン」）が生まれ育った場所です。この村は、韓国の短編小説の中で最も有名な作家の小説「そばの花が咲く頃」の舞台でもあり、1999 年以来、作家を記念して毎年 9 月にヒョソク文化祭が開催されています。さまざまな食べ物やイベントを楽しむことができるほか、本に登場する場面を再現することもできます。より静かに訪れたい方は、そばの花が満開になる9月を避けてください。一年中この地域で提供されるさまざまなメミル (そば) 料理。
