統一の重要な鍵の役割を担うよう求められた鍵天文台は、ホームシックの悲しみを追悼し、地域の安全教育を提供する目的で1998年4月11日に設立された。この地域の軍隊もこの場所から北方を監視することができます。訪問者は、DMZ フェンスやガードポイントのほか、戦争関連の品物が展示されている展示ホールを見学できます。
