韓国仏教の歴史において重要な役割を果たしてきた修徳寺は、徳城山のふもとに位置しています。中国の歴史書に記載されている百済王国の 12 の寺院の 1 つです。この寺院がいつ設立されたかの歴史的記録はありませんが、研究者らは武徳王 (554 ～ 597 年) の治世中に設立されたと考えています。
崇徳寺の本堂である大雄殿は、高麗時代の 1308 年に建てられました。 1528 年から 1803 年の間に 4 回修復されましたが、幸いなことに当初の美しさを保っていました。崇徳寺には大雄殿のほかにも、崇徳寺三重石塔など多くの文化財が保存されています。 |
