Jucheongang Natural Recreation Forest, located in Hoengseong-gun, Gangwon-do, was created on approximately 700,000 pyeong of forest along the coast of Jucheongang River. Its major characteristics are that it is a vast natural forest and the first recreational forest created along a river in Korea. It is located approximately 4km from the Dunnae Bridge lane on the Yeongdong Expressway, making it easily accessible from the metropolitan area. To the southwest is Chiaksan National Park, and to the northeast are Hyundai Seongwoo Resort and Bogwang Phoenix Park. The recreational forest has a forest school (training center), a forest house, a campsite, a forest classroom, a water playground, a mini soccer field, a volleyball court, and a physical training center, making it suitable for gatherings of families, coworkers, and various groups.
