GYEONGSANGNAM-DO WEATHER
* Jinsan and Jagulsan Mountain in Uiryeong, where you can experience the charm of various hiking *
Jagulsan Mountain is a mountain in Uiryeong, the center of Gyeongsangnam-do, with an altitude of 897m. It is located close to neighboring cities and counties, and has a variety of hiking courses as the difficulty level (steep slope, gentle slope) can be adjusted depending on the hiker's preference. In addition, many people visit because there are walking trails where you can contemplate the four seasons, including flower paths, forest paths, and paths.
On the mountainside, there remain temple sites such as Gangseonam Hermitage, where immortals used to hang out, Gabeulsa Temple Site, Borisa Temple Site, and Yangcheonsa Temple Site. And at the foot of the eastern mountain, there is a cave about 3 meters deep and a natural cave spring called Geumseam. There is a legend that the water in Geumji Spring suddenly dried up when Qing soldiers invaded the place during the Manchu War and tried to give water to their horses. There is also Myeonggyeongdae, where Nammyeong Jo Sik of the Joseon Dynasty is said to have been so captivated by the scenery that he wandered around without noticing the passage of time.

* Another attraction of Mt. Jagul, the story about Geumseom Spring *
There is a 3m deep cave under the steep cliffs of Jagulsan Mountain, and inside the cave is a naturally occurring spring, which people call Geumseong Spring. It looks like the water will disappear if you just scoop out a bucket, but no matter how much you pump out, it doesn't decrease. It is said that not only does the water not decrease in any drought, but it does not increase in any heavy rain.
There is a saying that once upon a time, a person measured the depth by attaching a stone to the end of a silk thread and unraveling the thread. Only after three threads were unraveled did he finally reach the bottom of the spring, and the tip came from Jeongamjin, dozens of miles away. There is also a legend that someone smoked in a cave and the smoke came out from the place where the pot rock in the Namgang River is located.
These stories are all probably made up to mean that this spring is that deep. Some people say that they made smoke in an oyster and saw the smoke coming out of the pot rock in the Namgang River. It can be said that this well is deep. However, during the Manchu War, the Qing Dynasty army invaded and climbed Jagul Mountain to view the mountain and build a fortress. When the Qing Dynasty soldier tried to give water to the horse, the water from the Jinji Spring, which had not dried up no matter how many times he pumped it out, quickly dried up, not even a drop remaining. This means that even spring water cannot give water to the enemy's horse, and they said silently. It is said that there was a protest of. That is why it is said that the Qing army could not camp at Mt. Jagul. It is said that from then on, the people of this region began to think of the Geumjin Spring in Mt. Jagul as more sacred.
