Daeheungsa Temple is said to have been founded by Adohwasang in the 22nd year of the reign of King Seong of Baekje, and is a place where the will and feet of the great Buddhist monk Seosan were passed down, thereby contributing to the revival of Buddhist culture. At places such as Pyochungsa Temple, which served as the nation's governor, and Iljiam Temple, the cradle of Korean tea, you can see the writings and footsteps of famous figures of the time, such as Choeui Seonsa and Chusa Kim Jeong-hee. The precincts include Daeungbojeon, Chimgyeru, Myeongbujeon, Eungjindang, Thousand Buddha Hall, Thousand Buddha Statue, Pyochungsa Temple, Daegwangmyeongjeon, Iljiam Hermitage, North Americareukam Hermitage, and Seongbo Museum. At Daeheungsa Temple, there are many relics on display, including the National Treasure Daeheungsa North Amuleukam Rock-carved Buddha Statue, and the Prehistoric Master Relics Museum, including the treasured Tapsansa Temple Bell Bell, and at Korea's largest stupa, you can see various cultural heritages and tales, including the Seosan Daesa Stupa.
