Seonamsa Temple, located on the east side of the foot of Jogyesan Mountain, was built by Adohwasang in the 7th year of King Seong of Baekje (529), and in the 1st year of King Gyeongmun of Silla, State Preceptor Doseon founded the current Seonamsa Temple with Seonpung at Dongri Sanmun, one of the nine mountains of King Seonjong. On the other side, on the western side of the mountain, is the famous Seungbo Temple, Songgwangsa Temple. Surrounding Seonamsa Temple are lush oak trees, camellias, maples, and chestnut trees that are hundreds of years old, and the fall foliage is especially famous. In addition, there is an arch-shaped Seungseong Bridge in front of the temple (treasure). The pedestal is made of natural rock, so it is sturdy, and the dragon head in the center is very mysterious. The three-story stone pagodas (treasures) standing on the left and right in front of Daeungjeon also attract the attention of tourists.

As one of the temples with the most traditional temple culture remaining, in addition to the seven treasures, the majestic and splendid Daeungjeon, Palsangjeon, Wontongjeon, and gilt bronze There are 12 local cultural assets, including incense sticks and Iljumun Gate, and if you follow the hiking trail to the left of Seonamsa Temple's main temple, you can see a rock-carved Buddha carved on a huge rock up to 7m high and 2m wide. A native tea garden with an 800-year-old tradition, the Jogyesan Mountain hiking trail connecting Songgwangsa Temple to Seonamsa Temple, crystal-like valley water, lush trees, and fall foliage add to the beauty of this place. In addition, near Seonamsa Temple, like Jirisan Mountain and Baekun Mountain, Korean cypress trees grow naturally, so they bloom every year. You can taste the mineral water before and after eating Gyeongchip.

A Zen meditation place at Seonamsa Temple, a temple on the eastern foot of Jogyesan Mountain in Songju-eup, Suncheon-si, Jeollanam-do. As Taegochonglim, the only general forest of the Taego Order, it is a general monastery where numerous monks are practicing in Gangwon and Seonwon. ‘Chiljeon’ is a group of seven buildings located at the top of Seonamsa Temple. In the wild tea field behind Seonamsa Temple, there is a colony of native tea that is over 800 years old. When it comes to wild tea produced in a tea plantation, Hwagae tea is considered the best, but when it comes to purely natural wild tea, Seonamsa tea is considered the best. The characteristics of Seonamsa wild tea are described as 'savory and deep taste', which is because the tea trees grow in shaded areas surrounded by cedar and oak trees, so the tea leaves are soft, and the fog and humid climate create a deep taste. However, it is not easy to taste Seonamsa tea. The Seonamsa tea field is not large, so the yield is small and it is treated as a precious treat.
