Garyeong Falls is located at the southwest foot of Baekam Mountain (1,099m) in a remote area hidden in nature and is also called Gaeryeong Falls. Garyeong Falls, along with Mt. Baekam, which has recently become known as an ecological experience hiking club, has a magnificent appearance as it falls down a cliff tens of meters (about 50 meters) high with a loud roar. Numerous types of wild plants, medicinal herbs, and wild flowers grow in the surrounding area, making it a paradise for mountain birds. Pure water gushes from a small mountain spring (a spring with medicinal water) at 950m above sea level, and the Mumyeongdamso and Garyeong waterfalls in the Bireol Valley, which flow into the 400-ri Hongcheon River, add to the coolness. Garyeong Falls is known as a waterfall that is rarely seen because it is hidden by the forest. There are few people around the waterfall, so it is one of the waterfalls that still maintains its clean water and natural beauty.
