Jangsan (1408.8m) is a mountain located between Gurae-ri and Cheonpyeong-ri, Sangdong-eup. Hambaeksan Mountain on the Baekdudaegan Mountains branches out to the west and rises majestically. The hiking of Jangsan Mountain begins at Goduam (aka: Kkoldubbawi Rock) in Sangdong-eup. If you go from Kyochon Village towards Manggyeongsa Temple, you can arrive at Manggyeongsa Temple. If you rest here for a while and climb up the steep slope next to the tattered area, you will arrive at the col of Seobongsai on the main ridge. As you head towards the summit along the eastern main ridge from the col, you will come across a rocky area that appears to be a forest road. The rocky area serves as a good observatory and relieves the fatigue of hiking. The main ridge is the perfect place to feel the mysteries of nature, which changes throughout the four seasons. In early spring, wildflowers blooming in the snow, such as black-crowned hepatica, hepatica, and other wildflowers, form a colony. In summer, there are dense greenery that covers the sky. In fall, the colorful autumn leaves and red berries of mountain ash are as beautiful as flowers, and in winter, they look like coral reefs. The tale blends in with the cliffs, making it seem like you have entered a fairyland.
