Duwibong (1,466m) is a mountain with a thick and solid shape, so locals call it Duribong. In early June, Duwibong suddenly starts to make up, covering its waist with fresh greenery, and the light pink azaleas near the peak give off the appearance of a city girl dressed up brightly. On a clear day, the azaleas are dazzlingly bright under the transparent sunlight, and the scene of a hazy fog covering the pink azaleas or flowing clouds gives the feeling of walking in a dream. The area around the summit boasts the best scenery with strangely shaped rocks such as Janggunbawi Rock and rare trees such as Areumdeuri yew and tall trees. Azaleas bloom in light pink among tall trees, but the azaleas at Duwibong have no tall trees around them and form large colonies here and there, so they are more red and beautiful than azaleas elsewhere. The clear and clean water that flows through Dangok Valley in the northwest forms Seokhangcheon, and in Dosagok Valley in the northeast, there is a garden recreation area and the oldest yew tree in Korea, which is about 1,800 years old. There is a colony of yew trees and azaleas around the summit, and many mountaineers from all over the country visit the azalea festival every June.
