축종	개
정의	느리게 진행되는 Distal polyneuropathy 는 도베르만 핀셔에서 보고 되었다. 일년 미만의 개에서 관찰되며, 초기에는 기립시 발가락을 들고 있는다. 뒷다리의 만곡 및 허약 그리고 위축이 발병 후 1-3년에 나타난다. 질병의 말기에는 앞다리도 같은 증상이 나타난다. 또한 말기에는 머리 근육의 약화 및 위축으로 연하의 곤란을 동반한 증상이 발생한다. 신경의 원위 부에서 역학적인 원인이 관찰 되며, 14개월된 그레이트 덴 에서도 유사한 증상이 보고 되었다.
