옥정호는 섬진강댐이 건설되면서 형성된 인공호수이다. 763평방킬로미터의 배수 면적에는 4억 3천만 톤의 물이 채워져 있습니다. 그림 같은 호수는 전국 사진작가들의 인기 포토 스팟으로, 아침 햇살에 반사되는 물안개가 가장 아름다운 풍경 중 하나이다. 호숫가 산책로도 인기 명소입니다.
