성북동 고택 북촌문화길은 옛 정취를 느끼기에 제격인 곳으로, 600년 도성의 성곽을 사이에 두고 오랜 세월을 견뎌낸 성북동 고택과 북촌한옥마을의 고색창연한 길이다.
성북동 고택 북촌문화길은 가슴 아픈 사연을 간직한 사찰 길상사와 정법사, 만해 한용운 선생이 생애를 마친 심우장, 소설가 이태준 가옥 등의 역사적인 장소와 이태준이 머물면서 작품을 집필하던 개량한옥집으로 현재는 전통찻집으로 운영되고 있는 수연산방, 성북구립미술관 등의 문화공간으로 가득 차 있다.
